Granite and spinel might seem an unlikely pairing… But I’ve separated these 12mm faceted larvikite rounds – also called Norwegian pearl granite – with small faceted rondelles of the highly-regarded spinel. Like other members of the feltspar family, you can see flashes of blue light (play) in some of the larvikite stones – known as schiller. The necklace is 18 inches long. (46cms)
