Amethyst, February’s birthstone, comes in many shades. For this pretty bracelet I’ve used lavender amethyst in 8mm rounds. I’ve added a sterling silver charm bead with a amethyst heart. The bracelet, which is made on elastic cord, measures about 7.5 inches (19cms).
Amethyst is a very popular gemstone – both due to its beauty and its many healing properties. It is said to be calming, protecting and to reduce stress. Amethyst is also believed to be good for the heart, skin, lungs, headaches, arthritis and insomnia.
