Labradorite Collection

Although I work with so many beautiful types of gemstones, labradorite is definitely in my top three. As with moonstone, there’s something magical about it. Countless times, I’ve thrust a strand of labradorite at my husband and demanded: LOOK! When I see the ‘schiller’ in the labradorite, I simply have to share it…and if I’m going through my vast collection of gemstones and he hears me sighing in admiration, he can skilfully predict that I’m looking at some labradorite gemstones!
To see what I mean with the labradorescence or schiller effect – a play of colours resulting from light refracting within the stone – take a look at my labradorite jewellery and discover what appears like blue or yellow/orange light. Although this mystical stone is mainly sourced in the Labrador region of Canada, it is also found in Norway… which isn’t a bad thing! Lots of great things hail from my homeland.
I think labradorite is beautiful on its own – but if you would like it mixed with other gemstones, I can make a design to order. Amethyst, pearls and moonstone would be potential partners, or blue stones – iolite, for example.
